The Witching Hour: The Heralds Canticle Four

Having spent centuries in search of a peaceful haunt, the Seraphim Aelia has found solace in the ancient realm of the Propontis, where the western and eastern land masses meet in what would become one of the most contested areas in the antiquitous world: Byzantium. In an old well near the Bosporus Strait, Aelia has discovered a horde of coins seemingly collected by one of her own…A Reaper.

Unwittingly, she awakens the army of shades, only to be spared, for they are controlled neither by a Collector nor a Reaper, but rather by a Herald. So taken by the strange turn of events, she eventually befriends one of the shades who informs her that there are many other wells with vaults not unlike theirs, and they are all marked by the god Apollo.

In search of answers as to why the Reaper, who had died in pursuit of so many souls to collect, had chosen to side with his celestial enemies, Aelia discovers a deeper secret….One that will align the path of a Herald with the Lord of Lux and will alter the course of the Rapture. With little time to act, Aelia must uncover the identity of the turncoat Herald before their army is unleashed upon the mortal realm.
